You taught me to hate myself.

You taught me that the whole world was my enemy.

You taught me that no one could be trusted…but only you.

My light was too bright for you to handle.

You were in darkness, so I had to be too.

You dimmed my light, and now I’m igniting it.

Soon I will shine so brightly that you won’t even be able to stand in my presence.

Soon you will shake with fear every time I am near…tisk, tisk. Don’t you know little girls grow up to be strong, brave women? No longer can you control me with your perverse beliefs and views.

Hear me again! You can’t control me any longer.
