You fooled me.
Your carefully placed wording
Your rationality for every fault
I saw all the signs
I looked the other way
Believing you were who you said you were.
I kept going into every commitment and decision with you blindly in hopes you would be that man I thought you were.
Instead I’m left with

confusion
